Think of Happy Place Festival as a pick-and-mix for your wellbeing. Yes, there’s yoga if you fancy it, but there’s also conversations, creativity, food, shopping, movement, laughter, performances, and a big sense of community.

We welcome everyone, whether you’re dipping your toe into self-care or you’re already a wellness pro. It’s about giving yourself the time to reset, reconnect, and find joy in the little things. However you spend your time with us, you’ll leave feeling uplifted, inspired, and recharged.

When and where is the festival?

How can I buy tickets?

When will I receive my festival ticket?

Tickets will be ready up to 1 week prior to the festival taking place. In the meantime you can log in via SEE TICKETS or GIGS AND TOURS to view your booking.

Is there an age restriction?

All ages are welcome, anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult (18+).

Children aged 0-4 years old, tickets are free of charge and can be added at the time of booking via Gigsand Tours or SEE Tickets.

What is included in the Premium Ticket Package?

  • Fast track entry into the festival via a special 'Premium Ticket' queue where you will receive your Premium Ticket fabric wristband.
  • Take part in an exclusive meditation session prior to the group Q&A.

  • One guaranteed FREE workshop of your choice from selected classes* (we will email you separately in May with your choices subject to live availability)
  • Advance booking window that gives you 48 hour pre-sale access where you can book your free workshop and 1 x additional payable class or workshop* (when these are available to book in May 2025).

Please note your Premium Package session will take place in the afternoon. Exact timings to be confirmed, with All Day Entry to festival included.

Are dogs allowed?

As much as we love dogs, we’re sorry but they are not allowed at the festival.

Please note, we do of course allow service dogs.

What time is the festival?

Gates will open at 08.30am with the last session / workshop finishing at 6pm when the festival closes.

Getting Here

How do I get to the festival?

There is a payable car park available, on a first come first served basis. Please note, it is not possible to reserve a space. We encourage the use of public transport where possible.

The closest station is Richmond which is an approximate 10-15 minute walk to the festival entrance.

Once you arrive, the festival will be clearly signposted.

The festival is located in the middle of Tatton Park, a fair distance from the local train station (Knutsford), which has no taxi rank, and there are no direct walking routes or adequate footpaths, therefore walking from the local train station is not advisable.

If you are driving, please use postcode WA16 6SG and allow ample time to get here with traffic and parking.

Parking will be available on site with a parking fee payable on the day of arrival (cash or card will be accepted).

Is the festival indoors?

Whilst the majority of the festival is outside, some of the stages and stalls will be under cover within tepee/tent structures.

Once inside the festival the ground is grass and can get muddy, dependant on the weather, although it is generally flat.

Can I camp at the festival?

There is no camping at either festival location.

Can I bring a bag?

Yes! Please note all customers are subject to search and all bags will be searched, we ask that you do not bring large bags with you.

Are there changing rooms / bag storage?

Please note, there will be no changing facilities or showers on site for those taking part in classes. We don’t have any storage for your bags, these will need to be carried with you at all times throughout the
festival.

Workshops

When will Workshops be released?

Workshops will be released in May 2026. Please keep an eye on your emails and socials for more information nearer the time. We will also update our information page here to reflect when they are open.

Do I have to book a Workshop / Activity?

All additional payable workshops/activities are optional, we recommend booking as soon as possible (when workshops are released) if you’d like to attend a particular one to avoid disappointment.

There is so much included within your entry ticket such as the Talk Stage, Centre Stage, Expressive Arts, the Book Stall, Shopping and much more.

Which festival areas do I need to pre-book?

The workshops in our tepees need to be pre-booked and are at an additional charge. These will be released in May 2026 and will be subject to availability. We will email ticket holders to advise when they are open and also update our FAQ page here.

Which festival areas are included within my ticket?

There is so much festival fun to be had which is included in your ticket. Our free festival areas include the Talk Stage, Centre Stage, Expressive Arts, Children's Corner, Shopping Village and The Book Stall.

Do I need to bring a yoga mat?

Yes, please bring your own yoga mat if you are taking part in an activity that requires one, including all tepee sessions.

Food & Drink

I have a food allergy/specific requirements, what do I do?

Don’t worry! We have an array of vegetarian/vegan cuisine which caters for other dietary requirements available on the day. If you are worried your needs will not be met, you can bring along your own food.

Do you serve alcohol at the festival?

No alcohol can be brought into the festivals and there is no alcohol served at the festivals. Customers are advised to bring empty reusable bottles which can be replenished at the water station point on site. There will be other soft drinks to purchase at the festivals.

Can I bring a reusable water bottle?

Absolutely! We encourage the promotion of no single use plastic, so if you have a refill bottle you can take advantage of our free freshwater refill station.

We provide a 2 for 1 ticket scheme to those who cannot enjoy the festival without bringing a companion.

Accessible ticket types can be purchased online (with proof of accessibility to be uploaded at the time of booking) and each accessible ticket includes a 1 x companion ticket at no extra cost.

How accessible is the festival site?

There will be a dedicated accessible queue to the site which is shared with our premium ticket queue, and a signposted accessible toilet within the festival.

As both festivals take place on grass grounds, the terrain is uncertain due to the ever-changing British weather, although it is generally flat.

We have an accessible seating area at the talk stage and have our 'happy to help' on site staff around the festival grounds should you need any further assistance elsewhere as well as our information point.

Each feature area structure is low level and can be fully accessed via wheelchair.

There will be a BSL programme available in the pre festival email that is sent to all accessible ticket holders closer to the time of the festival.

If you've not been before, our festival is designed to be a fun, relaxed space. There can be larger crowds for the more popular talks and activities. There are organically quiet pockets of areas on site, if you want to take some time away from groups of people.

Workshops

We will have the workshop/optional class reservation booking available around May time, please keep an eye on our site for updates/we will also email all ticket holders to notify them when this is open. If you do place a booking and have any additional access requirements or queries, please just drop an email to access@sjmconcerts.com

Your companion is welcome to assist you at no extra cost within the workshop, however if they wish to take part, they will need a paid workshop ticket.

Please note there is a step free/flat route from the car park which leads onto the grass festival site which is an approximate 10 - 15minute walking distance to the festival entrance.

We will have a reserved accessible area that will be situated approximately 5 minute walking distance across the grass field to the festival site. Please just let the onsite stewards know you are an accessible customer and they will direct you to the space on the day.

Toilets

We have signposted accessible toilets on the main toilet block. These are for use by those who have accessibility requirements as a priority however these are not locked or for exclusive use and operate on an honesty basis.

Medical Services

First aid is located on the site within the Information Office and is staffed at all times of the event and available to all. Please refer to festival maps which we will include in our pre festival information email sent to all ticket holders closer to the time of the festival.  

Access to Performance

There will be a BSL programme available in the pre festival email that is sent to all accessible ticket holders closer to the time of the festival. We will also include a full guide of which talks they will be situated at, which will be available prior to the festival here on our website and indicated on the onsite schedule boards. If you have any questions about this at all please don’t hesitate to email us here.

Service Animals

We welcome any service dogs at the Happy Place Festival.

Onsite payments

Is the festival cash or card?

Both methods are accepted and is dependent on the vendor, but please note that there are no cash points onsite and all caterers are card only.
