Our Happy Place Cook Club pick for July is Queenie is Working On It by Candice Carty-Williams

What a book! I love this story so much. If you loved the original Queenie then you’re going to absolutely devour this. It’s great because we revisit Queenie at a really interesting point in her life - she’s in her early to mid thirties, she’s got a lot of thoughts on her mind, one of them being fertility, and that then lends itself to looking into the subject of medical racism, which so desperately needs more attention. 

I loved every bit of this story. The characters feel so real. I keep thinking I’m going to bump into them in the street. It’s an incredible novel and we all absolutely love it and think you will too!
