We now know that the differences in girls' mental health starts to change around the time that they start their periods. It's around this time that we notice that girls have more anxiety, depression and sleep problems. But are hormones just to blame? Or is it our brains? And what can we do about it? 11.00am: Gratitude Garlands with Louise Elliston from Little Sprouts

This craft combines recycling with mindfulness, encouraging children to reflect on what they're thankful for while creating something beautiful.

We will start by choosing our recycled materials: such as cardboard, bottle caps, string and scraps of colourful card and then we will start crafting the Mobile, the children will cut the recycled items into shapes. On each piece, they can write or draw something they’re grateful for— focusing on wellness and positive thinking.

Finally, they’ll attach the shapes to strings and tie them to a sturdy stick or piece of driftwood. While assembling, we’ll encourage the kids to pause and reflect on their gratitude messages.

Once completed, the mobiles can be hung in their bedrooms.
